Edward Hopper American painter (1882 - 1967)
Edward Hooper painted sparce urban spaces populated by melancholic looking people. You can fit these into 'Alone and or Together' because of the views through windows and separation created by the windows. Or you can fit them in because of the people who typically in Hopper's paintings seem isolated so alone but still with other people.
